Pieces of Heart July Challenge

I'm back from the convention full of ideas to share.
The team is getting together tonight for our
monthly dinner meeting.
Plus, our monthly challenge,
which is to use the paper-piercer.
For my entry, I used the new
Paper-Piercing Pack
found in our new catalog to emphasize
a few elements on the card.
The flourish is from the set called
Everything Eleanor.

Convention Swap

This week I am attending the
Stampin' Up!
Convention in Salt Lake City.
I am participating in a pajama (sounds fun!)
card swap
and wanted to show you the
card I came up with.
It uses the stamp set called
Bright Blossoms.

Scallop Square Birthday

There are so many things going on with this card.
Where do I begin?
The Baja Breeze card stock base is made from the
Scallop Square Clear Die.
What you can't see is that I've also cut a smaller piece
from Whisper White, so that it opens just like a
regular card, just missing the top scallop.
The designer paper is
Twitterpatted.
The tool used on the white layer is the
Crimper.
And the stamp set
Mixed Bunch
was used to make the flower and then punched out
using the Blossom Punch.

Christmas in July

It's never too early to think about your
Christmas cards.
Here is a very simple one using the stamp set called
Easy Events.
Crystal Effects on the little berries
really make them pop up.
The Stripes Embossing Folder gives the
base card real dimension.

Pinwheel Card

I learned how to make this card at our
Little House on the Priarie
Pieces of Heart Retreat.
Long name for one fun weekend when we
were able to get together and stamp
all weekend long.
The designer paper is called
Twitterpatted.
The pinwheel design
is so easy to put together.

Scallop Envelope Box

As I've said before, I love Pinterest!
I have found so many darling things there.
This is from Jenni Pauli at Paulines Papier.
I'm not sure, but I think she is from Germany.
She was kind enough to translate the directions into English.
This little box is made from the
Scallop Envelope die along
with several other punches.
I think some cookies made with our cookie press
would fit nicely inside.
What a cute presentation.

Deana's Card

This card is from a very talented stamper,
Deana Schultz.
Whenever I see mail from her I get excited,
because I know the card will be
fantastic!
Once again, she did not disappoint!
Thanks, Deana.

Bridal Shower Gift Card Holder

I needed a bridal shower gift card holder and
found this layout on our demonstrator sharing site.
The gift card is secured onto the back of the
Baja Breeze Top Note
which is tucked inside the pocket.
I thought the cake on the Designer Paper called
Patio Party looked romantic and appropriate for a
bridal shower.   So I popped it up two times using
Stampin' Dimensionals.
The sentiment comes from the stamp set called
Teeny Tiny Wishes.
I think the prospective bride will like the card as much
as the included gift card!

Cards in the Mail

Judy Sumner

Patty Schnell
Kathy Boxdorfer
Kathy Boxdorfer

I received some great looking cards recently and wanted to share them with you.
Judy's card is an emboss-resist technique.  Very Classy looking.
Patty used the Pennant Parade stamp set along with the
Punch to make the banner.
Very Festive.
Kathy's coffee cup is actually a gift card holder!
The lid pulls off to expose the card.  CUTE!
And her Fourth of July card really does sparkle.

Love them all!

Love and Sympathy

I just love the soft look of this card.
It uses a retired flocked designer paper,
but we all have sheets we save for
a card that we want to express just what we feel.
I used the Extra-Large Oval Punch and the Designer
Frames Embossing Folder.
The sentiment is from the set called
Love and Sympathy
Unfortunately, the black satin ribbon has retired too.
I've got that stashed away as well!

Little House on the Prairie Stamping Retreat

Hello, there.  It's been a while since I've posted.  I will try to be better about that.

Recently, my Pieces of Heart Team came to my house for the first of many 'Little House on the Prairie Stamping Retreats'.  It was so nice to see everyone.  Since I've moved, I've missed being with them.  We had a blast and were even reprimanded from as far away as Texas that our laughing was too loud.

Jayne Singleton
Patty Schnell
Susan Fields
Phyllis Phegley
Judy Sumner
Diane Mikles
Sally Nusbaum
Mary Ellen Cope

We had a shoebox swap that Saturday and, as you can see, there were some great looking cards.

What a great group of ladies!  Want to become a Pieces of Heart Team member and  join us next time?  It's easy!  The Starter Kit is only $99.  Give me a call (217-590-0210) or email (stamppad@sbcglobal.net) anytime.  Let's talk.

Happy Birthday, Kimberly Anne!

Today is a memorable day, indeed!
It's my youngest's 28th birthday.
Makes me sad that her dad and I
 can't be with her today,
but we sent lots of love,
(and a few other things),
her way.
Hope your day is the best ever,
Little Bunny.
We love you!

Not Your Mother's Clothespins!

Once again, I was inspired by
Pinterest.
I used retired designer paper,
(Bella Rose, my all-time favorite!),
I've been
keeping for just this kind of project.
Along with Basic Pearls, Rhinestones,
Dazzling Diamonds, buttons and ribbon,
I put together lots of really pretty
clips for my papers, or a cute little gift.
I added a magnet to several for a
refrigerator clip.
Fun way to use up small scraps you hate to
throw away.
