Easy Gift Card Holder

This is the best idea ever for a gift card holder.
It's made from an envelope!

Simply fold the envelope in half,
sealing one side,
leaving room for a gift card on the other side!
(Cut the flap down the center before sealing.)
Then stamp and embellish.
This one is for someone who is moving to a new address.
But it would work for any occasion.

St. Patrick's Day Sampler

Here's the latest sampler.
I can't seem to stop.
This one has a St. Patrick's Day theme.
All squares start with a 1 3/8" punch.
Then I went crazy with embellishments
and the color green.
I love the white frame.
It seems to make everything POP!
For a closer look,

In week or two,
I will have an Easter/Spring Sampler
for you to see.

Romantic Love

One of my nieces recently got married.
She's a lovely young lady, so I wanted to make a special card for her.
A lot of the elements of this romantic card can be found in the
Spring Catalog.
The beautiful lace peeking from behind the
stamped oval is part of the
Artisan Embellishments Kit,
as is the resin flower.

Congratulations, Taylor!

You're In My Heart

This little jar, from the
Perfectly Preserved stamp set,
was stamped with
Jet Black Staz-on Solvent Ink
on a window or acetate sheet.
I used the Cannery Set Framelit Die
to cut it out with the
Big Shot.
The hearts inside were punched with the
Small Heart Punch
on
Red Glitter Paper.

3 X 3 Note Cards and Top Note Holder

Still trying to figure out the Windows 8 on my
new computer.  I would love to lighten up this picture.
The colors are so pretty.
I used
Melon Mambo Card Stock and Ink.
So bright and fresh looking.
Makes me yearn for Spring on this wet, cloudy, cold day.
These little note cards fit into the
Top Note holder to make a sweet gift.

Bon Bon with a Cherry on Top!

I just love these little bon bons.
There is hardly any stamping on this card.
All done with punches!
The top of the confection is made using the
Mitten Builder Punch.
The cherry is from the
Cupcake Builder Punch.
They are sitting on the
7/8" Scallop Circle.
The piece of
Baja Breeze Card Stock
is embossed with the
Adorning Accents Folder.
 Sweet without the calories!

Heart Magnets

Since our group name is
The Pieces of Heart,
I'm drawn to projects with a heart.
These little magnets are made using our
Soda Pop Tops
found in the Spring Catalog.
The 1" Circle Punch
fits the inside perfectly using
 our Silver Glitter Paper.
And with Red Glitter Paper,
I used the Small Heart Punch
to 'bling' it up a bit.
I added a magnet to the back and now it is
Fridge-ready!

Shelli's Shabby Chic

This romantic, shabby-chic, framed piece was made by
the founder of Stampin' Up!,
Shelli Gardner.
I love her style and couldn't wait to replicate it.
So, during a recent stamping weekend with friends,
Julie Logan and Heather Klump,
I tried my hand at doing just that.

I didn't have everything she used to make hers, but
I think I came pretty close.
I was lucky enough to find the exact frame Shelli used
(Hobby Lobby).
I am very happy with the results.
I was even happier to spend a weekend
laughing, eating, stamping and sipping (!)
with Julie and Heather.
We had a blast and I can't wait for the next time.

Sampler-Mania!

There really is no end to what you can do with
these fun-to-make samplers.
You would be surprised what you can do with a
1 3/8" square!
It will really stretch your creativity,
but once you get started, you won't want to stop.
I keep this one in my stamping studio.
It brings a smile to my face as I get started each day.
It just makes me happy to be a stamper!

Wood You?

I received this cutie-patootie
Valentine card from my friend,
Heather Klump,
and had to show you.
(Please excuse the bad lighting and uneven photography.
I'm still trying to find my cropping tools on this wonderful
Windows 8 program.)
She used the background stamp called
Woodgrain, on Crumb Cake card stock.
She then punched hearts into it.
It reminds me of someone carving initials onto a tree.
So clever!

What is even cuter, is her play on words inside.
"Wood" You Be Mine?
You betcha, Heather!
You had me from the beginning!

Valentine Sampler

I am so hooked on these samplers.
I participated in a Valentine Sampler swap with my fellow
T.O.P.I.C.S. demonstrators, and
I received enough 1 3/8" squares to make two samplers.
(Click on the picture to get a better view.)
So darn cute.
Mine is in the top row, middle square.

Above, is the second sampler.
I put it together for
Pieces of Heart Team Member,
Judy Sumner,
who was tops in sales last quarter.
Thanks, Judy, for all your hard work!

More to come.....

Long Time, No Post!

Whew!
I've spent a frustrating few weeks trying to get used to a new computer.
Recently, I smelled that dreaded electrical burning smell somewhere in my house,
and as I frantically ran around like a chicken, I realized it was coming
from my computer!
Yikes!
I managed to get it unplugged and ran it outside in case it was burning.
Needless to say, I now needed a new computer.
Surprise! All the new ones come with the lovely
Windows 8 programing installed.
It's like reading a foreign language.  I had a hard enough time with the old stuff.
This is like talking Martian to me!
Slowly, but surely, I'm finding my way around it.  Mostly by accident.
Even Steve, has a big question mark above his head when he looks at it.
But he was able to help me get my pictures loaded, and now I am hoping
to get back into blogging again.

The little purse above, has room for a chocolate or two nuggets inside.
I used the Flower Trim, found in the Spring Catalog, on the flap.
The designer paper is also from that catalog and is called
More Amore.
The Sycamore Street Ribbon and other products are FREE during Sale-a-Bration,
when you place an order of $50!
If you would like a free Spring Catalog or Sale-a-bration Catalog,
please let me know.
