He is Risen

Happy Easter Everyone!

I shamelessly stole this idea from my sister,
Penny Thomas.
I love the idea of taking a stamped image and framing it.
This one is so three-dimensional with the wound
card stock flowers.
There are little pearls added to the stamped image too.
It's a small framed piece, but the impact is very
WOW!

Mini Bunny Nugget Treat

Inside this little cutie is a single chocolate Nugget.
The designer paper is called
Twitterpated.
I used four punches to form the bunny:
Ears - Small Heart (which I snipped into two pieces.)
Head - 1/2" Circle (this was used for the hole for the basket too.)
Body - 3/4" Circle
Tail - Itty Bitty Shapes
To form the basket, I used the cup
Framelit from the Big Shot Holiday Collection.
A small piece of the DP was adhered between the two
pieces of the basket to hold the Nugget.
I also used Stampin' Dimensionals to pop the bunny up on the basket.
When the Nugget is placed inside, it really stands him up!

He's just so cute, no one will notice that there is only
one piece of chocolate inside!

O - M - G ! Snow!

If you read my last posting,
you saw that I had to cut my St. Louis trip
short to beat a major snow storm coming to the Mid-West.
Wow!
We just made it!
This was Sunday.

Here is my hero,
Steve,
playing,
I mean working so hard with his snow-blower on
our front walkway.
Notice the depth of the snow.

Here is a closer view.

As the day turned to night, the snow never stopped.
This is a birdhouse I have sitting on a bench on the deck.
What birdhouse?
Hope no one is inside!

Front porch again.
This is Monday morning.
Remember the cut Steve made on Sunday?
Almost gone overnight.
So of course he had to go out with his
toy,
I mean snow-blower again to clean it up!

Don't let the look on his face fool you.
He's having a
Blast!

SOOOOO ready for Spring!

St. Louis Stampin' Up! Demonstrators Regional

Last Saturday, the Pieces of Heart team attended the
Stampin' Up! Regional
at the America's Center, downtown,
 St. Louis, Missouri.
As you can see from the photos, we are happy!
We've just been given free stamps!
Top photo from left is:
Mary Ellen Cope, Patty Schnell, Jessica Schnell, Jayne Singleton, and Kathy Boxdorfer.
Bottom photo, from left:
Judy Sumner, Marla Schack and Mary Taylor.

Lucky Mary Ellen won a goodie from the
Prize Patrol,
who happened to be
Bonnie Thurber.
She is just short of a rock star to us Demonstrators!
We LOVE Bonnie!

Another winner in our group was
Jessica Schnell.
She picked up a free
My Digital Studio download.

Because the weather was turning nasty,
they ended the event a bit early so those who had to travel,
could get home in time to beat the snow.
But because we just can't get enough of each other,
we met for dinner to continue the fun.
Then high-tailed it home in front of the storm.

I had a blast with my peeps and am so looking forward getting together
with them again soon.
Love you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!

Clean & Simple Thanks

I'm so excited to be able to see my stamping friends this weekend.
The Stampin' Up! Regional is being held in
St. Louis, my old home town.
There will be lots of hugs, card swapping, note-taking
and catching up with people who are very special to me,
fellow Demonstrators.
Speaking of card swapping, the card above is the one
I will be handing out.
I love a clean and simple card and I think this one is perfect for that.
The stamp set I used is called
Best of Everything.
That's just the way I feel this weekend will be!

Easter Blessings

Using the
Labels Collection Framelits Die,
and the Wisteria Wonder
from the Designer Series Polka Dot Parade Paper,
really emphasized the raised dots
on the Very Vanilla Card Stock
on this pretty Easter card.

Triple Time

The technique used to make this card is called
Triple Time.
It's very simple to make, but I think
looks striking.
The three pieces of
Whisper White Card Stock
are layered on top of each other and then stamped
with the flower stamp from the
Button Buddies stamp set
in Daffodil Delight ink.
Then adhered to the pieces of
Basic Black Card Stock.

Sale-a-bration Sycamore Street

Although, my lack of camera skills doesn't show it,
the colors on this card are so bright.
I love the base color of
Island Indigo and the
Summer Starfruit ribbon.
The Sale-a-bration Designer Paper,
called Sycamore Street,
brings it all together.
Sale-a-bration ends on
March 22.

When I look at this card,
I see a pretty, summer dress.
The color of the designer paper,
ink and ribbon is
Daffodil Delight.
Love the sound of that!
Two punches were used,
Curly Label and the Petite Curly Label.

Lemonade Pocket

I guess I am really looking forward to the warmer
weather.  I can see myself sitting outside, sipping
pink lemonade and listening to the birds
chirping.
This little pocket holds two
packets of instant lemonade,
ready to pour into your
sparkling glass.
The stamp set is called
Happy Hour.
If you used the set called
Morning Cup,
you could insert two packets
of instant Starbucks coffee.

Baby Sampler

I had so much fun putting this baby sampler together.
The colors are so soft
with just a pop of color every now and then.
If you haven't tried making one of these
1 3/8" square samplers,
you are missing out on
stretching your creativity and
and giving a gift
that is sure to make someone smile.

Moving Forward!

I saw this on Pinterest by
Heather Summers.
I was drawn to the bright colors.
It just seems so cheery.
The stamp set is called
Moving Forward.
We have a
Pieces of Heart
team member, Mary Taylor,
celebrating her one year anniversary with our group.
So it is on it's way to her.
Congratulations, Mary!

I could almost eat this card.
Love the color combination of

The embossed design is called Chevron,

Easter/Spring Sampler

Oh my goodness.
Here I go again with another sampler.
This one has an Easter/Spring theme.
When I look at it,
I feel happy because I know winter is winding
down and spring is on it's way.

These squares are part of a fellow
T.O.P.I.C.S Demonstrator swap.
We have some REALLY talented
stampers in our group.
(Click on the photo to get a closer view.)

The swap I made is the kite in the middle of the top row.
My friends,
Julie Logan and Heather Klump,
helped me with the idea.
Thanks, ladies!

Sweet Baby

Pinterest has become such a fantastic source
for showcasing talented stampers.
I found this sweet punch art lamb by
Kim Warne
not too long ago and melted.
That face is actually the
Owl Punch!
I'm sure you recognized the embossed
Scallop Circle Punch
for her fluffy body.
The legs are made using the
Word Window Punch.
I love the
Itty Bitty Punch
above the eyes
to add more fluffiness!
Sweet Baby.
